County adopts Ordinance 2026-15 to create Unsafe Building Fund

On Aug. 24, 2026 the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners adopted Ordinance 2026-15 on second reading to establish an Unsafe Building Fund. County Attorney Dan Taylor said the fund will pay for identification, repair or demolition of unsafe buildings; funding sources identified were fines and appropriations and the fund was described as non-reverting.
