At approximately 10:30 a.m., Commissioner James Campbell moved the board into a 30‑minute executive session to discuss personnel matters of non‑elected employees under K.S.A. 75‑4319(b)(1). The transcript records that attendees for the closed session included the two commissioners, the county clerk, HR staff, the Road & Bridge interim director and County Counselor David Van Parys. After the executive session the board voted to adjourn into workshop at 11:01 a.m.
