Council adopts multiple building, fire and property-maintenance code updates on consent agenda
On unanimous consent, the council approved a package of code updates including adoption of 2024 editions of property maintenance, residential, building and fire codes, and related local amendments, and a revised residential services rate schedule (Ordinance Nos. 2026-13 through 2026-19).

Council considered a multi-item consent agenda and approved several ordinances on second reading and related matters by unanimous vote. The consent package included a zoning change for 1273 Bandera Highway, adoption of the 2024 International Property Maintenance Code, the 2024 International Residential Code for one- and two-family dwellings, the 2024 International Building Code and related local amendments, adoption of multiple 2024/2023 specialized codes (including electrical, plumbing, mechanical and fire codes), and revised rate schedules for residential services and distributed generation riders.
