Travis Haines reported staff are preparing the department’s two-year budget with submissions due next Friday and budget review meetings scheduled to follow. Haines characterized the process as fast-paced given the department’s 11 divisions and said staff are on track to present the budget to City Council in coming weeks. He also reported the department received a new 16-by-9-foot LED mobile screen that will debut at Summerfest and be used for outdoor movies and community events.
