Ruth, presenting the Veterans Affairs monthly activity report, told the board the office handled 159 total interactions in December — 49 in person and 63 by phone — and that the November county award report showed $828,007 distributed to 422 veterans or eligible dependents. "Our total interactions for December was a 159," she said, and added that the office filed 60% of open claims for the month of November.
