Council ratifies IAFF contract, approves related MOUs
Fitchburg ratified a collective bargaining agreement with IAFF Local 311 covering 2025–2027 after arbitration favored the city's offer; the contract moves vacation/holiday to a paid time off bank, keeps a separate sick bank, provides 3% cost‑of‑living adjustments for 2025–27 with retroactive pay, and adds a seven‑year step.
