EDA staff presented a regional grant proposal — "AI Ready Roanoke" — and asked the Authority to commit $26,205 from the EDA's FY27 grant budget to serve as Botetourt County's matching share. The regional partnership includes Carilion Clinic, Google, Radford University, Virginia Tech, Virginia Western Community College, Roanoke College, the City of Salem, the City of Roanoke and Roanoke County.
