Commission advances wildfire mitigation plan and to apply for Firewise certification and grants

Bruce Flitcroft reported recent work on a wildfire assessment and mitigation plan, including a meeting with Morris County fire warden Todd Sacchiero and support from the fire department and the New Jersey Forest Fire Service. He said the commission has identified the Firewise program as a central next step and will form a working group with core members from the fire department and the Environmental Commission.
