Heard County suspends Advantage Tactical range operations pending safety review

The Heard County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously Aug. 25 to suspend operations at the Advantage Tactical shooting range until an independent, third-party safety evaluation is completed and reported to the board at its next meeting on Sept. 22, 2015. The motion, made by Commissioner Keri Denney and seconded by Commissioner Gwen Caldwell, followed statements from nearby residents and the Heard County Sheriff's Office expressing safety concerns.
