Committee members flagged inconsistent drafting in the backup addendum and on the receipt page where the term 'Option Fee' (capitalized) appeared even though it was not a properly defined term in the contract. John George recommended removing the capitalization to avoid suggesting a defined term and to maintain consistency with how "earnest money" is treated elsewhere in the contract.
