Commission sets solid-waste assessment ceiling at $1.40 to keep TRIM options open

County staff apologized for a prior mathematical error and explained there were two preliminary solid-waste assessment options: keep the current $1.16 rate or set a preliminary ceiling at $1.40 for TRIM notices with the option to lower it before final adoption. Staff said the earlier suggestion of a -$9,000,000 figure was a calculation error unrelated to landfill operations and supplied corrected background.
