IT reports site restored after bot attack; Hayward Fire Tower network secured

Mike Colson, the county's IT representative, told the committee that the county's public site that hosts permits and survey documentation had been targeted by automated bots for about a month and was effectively unavailable to the public. Colson said he engaged a relatively low-cost blocking service and the site has since returned to normal availability.
