Tree City USA application underway; board reports $26,900 budget
The Berne Tree Board said it has begun the Tree City USA application (deadline Dec. 31) and reported a tree-board budget of $26,900; members discussed using funds to support saplings and strengthen grant applications with local matching.

The board reported progress on the Tree City USA application and reviewed its current finances. The Chair said the Tree City USA application deadline is Dec. 31 and that invoices and planting records are being gathered to submit required documentation. "I've already started it. I just need to finish gathering up all the invoices that we spent money on this past year," a staff member said.
