Dallas County Foundation reports $200,000 in 2025 grants, seeks broader county participation

Jeff Harter, treasurer and volunteer board member of the Dallas County Foundation, provided the board with the foundation's annual report and funding sources. He said the foundation awarded roughly $200,000 to about 36 projects in 2025 and aims to spread funds across the county. “We were able to give, um, $200,000 um to quite a few projects, I think 36 projects here in 2025,” Harter said. He noted revenue sources include state Endow Iowa incentives and gaming revenue (staff cited $148,500 from the state and $51,500 from gaming commissions last year).
