The Jefferson County Council appointed Evan Hackney to a four-year term on the Jefferson County Park Board after a brief endorsement during the meeting. Chair announced the appointment and a council member said Hackney "has a lot of energy" and "was very involved in athletics locally, at the high school level as well as college," urging that he would be a good fit for the board.
