Supervisors voted to formalize two previously donation-based accounts — a K9 fund and a 'Be the Example' awards fund — as special-revenue budget lines for the Sheriff's Department, saying the change will improve transparency and auditing. The board also authorized opening bank accounts at WCF for both funds and adding positional signers: treasurer, assistant sheriff and chief deputy.
