Board approves revised SmartCop contract and $1.6M liability coverage change

The board reviewed a SmartCop contract that had been tabled at a prior meeting and, following legal review and revised language removing certain phrasing, moved to approve the contract with a $1.6 million liability coverage figure and allowed the chair to execute the agreement. Staff said the contract was approved by legal with revised language and removal of an earlier term; the board voted by voice to approve and to authorize the chair to sign.
