David Moran told commissioners he and others pitched a 'PureWatt' small modular reactor (SMR) project and left copies of the proposal for the board to review. Moran described SMRs as "nuclear reactors" that could bring an identity to the community, outlined plans for EMP- and GMD-hardened facilities, and offered additional materials and follow-up information to county staff.
