Commissioners authorize staff to draft IGA for EMS consolidation with Ridgeway Fire for 2027
Following a work session and Ridgeway Fire board review, the county directed staff to prepare and negotiate an IGA for a 2027 functional consolidation between county EMS and Ridgeway Fire Protection District; the board approved the authorization unanimously.

The Board authorized county staff — including the county manager, county EMS leadership and the county attorney — to prepare, negotiate and draft an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) to pursue a functional consolidation of county EMS with the Ridgeway Fire Protection District for 2027. The board emphasized that the IGA will be reviewed by governing bodies before any binding adoption.
