The Checotah Public Works Authority voted to approve a contract with Happy Paws at its July 13, 2026 meeting. Trustee Mike Key moved to approve the Happy Paws contract; Trustee Ronnie Brinsfield seconded and the motion carried with the trustees recorded as voting yes.
