The authority approved hourly pay increases for Jeremy Jones (from $25.59 to $26.59) and Dustin Howell (from $24.50 to $25.50). Trustee Jay Hayes moved the pay adjustments and Trustee Joey Marion seconded; the motion carried unanimously.

The Checotah Public Works Authority voted to increase hourly pay for two employees at its June 8 meeting. Trustee Jay Hayes moved to raise Jeremy Jones' rate from $25.59 to $26.59 per hour and to raise Dustin Howell's from $24.50 to $25.50 per hour; Trustee Joey Marion seconded. The motion carried with Trustees Mike Key, Tony Fields, Joey Marion, Ronnie Brinsfield, Daniel Tarkington, Jay Hayes, Rusty Rogers, Jodi Greenleaf and Rusty Beaver voting yes.
