Emily Simon, a resident participating by Zoom, asked the Lakeside City Council whether recent rumors that an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility might be built in Lakeside were accurate. "There have been a lot of rumors regarding an ice facility potentially to be built in Lakeside," she said, asking the council to comment on the veracity of those reports.
