Planning staff: comprehensive-plan draft nearing completion
City staff said consultants are close to a draft comprehensive plan, requested photos and finalized parcel mapping with Jasper County, and plan to bring a draft to the Planning Commission for review before Council consideration.

Staff told the Planning Commission the city's comprehensive-plan update is advancing: consultants have asked for photographs, staff are finalizing GIS mapping and parcel data with Jasper County, and a draft for staff review will be ready before the Planning Commission reviews the plan and forwards it to City Council. "The consultants are asking us for pictures. That means they're getting very close to having that draft where we need it," a staff planner said.
