Union County approves engineering contract to design Friendship School Road bridge replacement

County staff told the board that an earlier study considered replacing the wood-deck bridge on Friendship School Road with culverts, but reviewers were not comfortable with that approach. Staff proposed a supplemental local agency engineering agreement to perform full bridge design so the county can proceed with a bridge replacement instead of a culvert solution.
