Council approved the request to host the Ridgeway Rocks music festival on two Saturdays — July 4 (rock‑oriented) and July 25 (bluegrass/singer‑songwriter) — using the existing concert infrastructure and the town’s alcohol‑sales tent. Organizer Mark said he obtained sponsors and would use the concert series’ equipment; he asked council staff to authorize the event and noted Rat Rat will run the beer tent. Mayor Clark recused himself from the vote because he will play at the festival.
