The Kempner City Council approved Ordinance No. 2025-08-12-001, adopting the city budget for the 2025–26 fiscal year. Place 3 (Rob Green) moved to approve the ordinance and Place 1 (David Richardson) seconded; the record vote shows Place 1, Place 3 and Place 5 voted to approve while Places 2 and 4 were not present.
