County economic-development reports noted that Molly Ryan, the county economic development director, and other staff appeared before the committee to discuss terms and actions involving the Clinton County Industrial Development Agency (CCIDA) and a project by UMS Property LLC. The committee recommended Resolution 591 approving terms of a payment-in-lieu-of-tax (PILOT) agreement connected to the UMS Property LLC project and a host-community agreement with the Peru Central School District; the legislature carried the resolution.
