The Bedford County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to adopt the 2021 International Residential Code after a required public hearing produced no speakers; the vote was recorded 17–0.

The Bedford County Board of Commissioners voted to adopt the 2021 International Residential Code (IRC), replacing the county's previously adopted 2015 residential code. The resolution followed the county's required posting and a public hearing at which no members of the public spoke.
