NV Energy and developers urge clear, consistent data center standards

Representatives from energy companies and data center developers spoke at the Aug. 3 workshop in favor of an ordinance that sets clear, objective standards without unduly singling out data centers. Jeff Brigger of NV Energy reviewed demand expectations and referenced NV Energy’s Integrated Resource Plan; developers argued data centers should be treated like other industrial users when it comes to standards and permitting.
