The Leelanau County Board of Commissioners elected Commissioner Steve Yoder to serve as board chair for a two-year term, following roll-call voting after nominations were closed. The clerk conducted a roll call and recorded affirmative votes leading to Yoder’s election, and the board recessed briefly so Yoder could assume the chair position.
