During the Sept. 1 meeting the Public Services Committee approved several personnel adjustments across county departments. The Highway Department deleted one full‑time Highway Administrative Manager position following an employee retirement; the County Clerk’s office deleted one Index Clerk and one Senior Index Clerk position to remove long‑vacant posts; and the Public Defender’s Office created a Legal Administrative Assistant (Wage Grade 14) while scheduling deletion of a Senior Legal Typist (Wage Grade 11) effective Nov. 1, 2026.
