Staff: data-center moratorium extended six months as work group develops ordinance language
Planning staff said council extended the moratorium on new data-center-related auto-service uses for six months (through March 17 next year) while an internal multi-department work group continues research and drafts ordinance language.

Planning staff told the commission that the internal data-center work group (including planning, public works, IT and water/wastewater staff) has been meeting biweekly and has developed a conceptual framework for an ordinance regulating data-center-related uses, but that the group has not yet produced draft code language.
