Polk County continues Medicaid IGT participation for Fire Rescue; staff projects ~$11.66M return

Polk County commissioners voted Oct. 21 to ratify a letter of agreement and provider questionnaire that keeps Polk County Fire Rescue in Florida's AHCA public emergency medical transportation Medicaid supplement program. County staff told the board the program works through managed-care organizations to identify qualifying Medicaid transports; Polk County provides an intergovernmental transfer (IGT) to draw additional federal matching funds.
