The Monroe County Board of Commissioners on Sept. 16 approved a contract addendum with the Monroe County Transportation Authority amending Shared Ride Program fares, effective Oct. 1, 2026. The minutes list full fares by distance: 0–4 miles $23.00; 4–8 miles $26.00; 8–12 miles $30.00; 12–16 miles $36.00; 16–20 miles $42.00; 20–30 miles $52.00; 30+ miles $63.00. The motion was moved by Commissioner Sharon S. Laverdure and seconded by Vice-Chairman David C. Parker.
