The Milam County Commissioners Court conducted closed-session interviews for applicants to serve as the county Fire Marshal and then reconvened in open session on Oct. 15. Commissioner Wesley Payne moved to table action on the Fire Marshal position until the next regular meeting, scheduled for Oct. 28, 2024; Commissioner James Denman seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
