Health Department outlines plan for county TNC water-testing program
Staff described progress on a TNC (testing, normalization and certification) water program: applications are being completed, reagents ordered next, and the service will test bacteria and nitrates for private wells and licensed facilities.

Jessica Jungenberg told the board the department has researched other local TNC labs to identify equipment and processes because DNR and DATCP do not provide a prescriptive equipment list. Staff are completing the program applications and plan to order reagents needed to begin testing. The program’s initial scope will cover bacteria and nitrate testing for private wells and licensed facilities.
