Trustees adopt harassment-training policy updates, table alternative work schedule discussion
Trustees approved amendments to the harassment/discrimination/retaliation policy adding potential disciplinary action for not participating in required annual training and allowing outside-training certificates to satisfy the requirement; discussion of an alternative work schedule was tabled pending legal review.

Trustee Susan Patterson introduced two personnel policy proposals including (A) adding a clause that failure to participate in the annual required harassment training "may result in disciplinary action including up to and including termination" and (B) allowing employees to submit certificates of completion for equivalent outside training in lieu of village training. Trustee Monahan motioned to approve both proposals, Trustee Patterson seconded, and the board voted "Aye."
