The court approved appointments of Cindy Cooper, Sherry Archer and Billie Jean Cole to the Van Zandt County Library advisory board after a presentation by the board president describing the advisory board's role and staffing constraints.

Donna Tooks, president of the library advisory board, presented three nominees for the board and described the advisory body's role supporting library staff and outreach. "We serve as an advisory board. We don't make the decisions, but when Tanya brings to us her budget, we discuss needs and concerns," Tooks said, stressing volunteer support during a busy summer.
