Board will send State Liquor Authority feedback on 114 Main Street application

Mar 12, 2026

The trustees agreed to send the State Liquor Authority a notice identifying potential village review triggers for a pending liquor‑license transfer at 114 Main Street (Clove Ridge LLC), noting the application lists a sidewalk café and a change from retail café to bar/tavern that may require site‑plan review and additional local approvals.

The full story

The New York State Liquor Authority notified the village of an application to transfer a liquor license at the site formerly known as 114 Main Street. Trustees discussed the application and asked staff to provide the SLA with feedback noting two concerns: the application indicates a change in use from a retail café to a bar/tavern (a change that may require site‑plan review under village zoning) and it lists a sidewalk café when village code prohibits sale of alcohol on public property.
