Superintendent Dr. Don Heseman presented the board's election of representatives to the Hockley County Appraisal District Board of Directors. The board agreed to allocate 834 votes to Trustee Matt Buxkemper and 338 votes to Vice President Mike Stafford, totaling the 1,172 votes the district was required to submit.
