Public Defender asks Jasper County to fund additional investigator

At the May 15 work session, Mrs. Waller of the Public Defender's Office presented her office budget and requested funding for an additional investigator. She told the board that "there is an increase for an additional investigator, as they currently only have one working several cases and counties," and framed the request as necessary to manage the office's caseload across multiple jurisdictions.
