Apr 30, 2026

Lewis and Clark County adopted Res. 2026-31 to designate polling places for the federal election cycle; elections supervisor Connor Fitzpatrick said most sites mirror 2024 but four precincts moved because Helena School District requested Jim Darcy Elementary not be used for student-safety reasons.

The full story

Connor Fitzpatrick, the county elections division supervisor, presented Res. 2026-31, the resolution designating polling places for upcoming federal elections. He told commissioners that most polling places are unchanged from 2024 but that four precincts were moved from Jim Darcy Elementary to the county fairgrounds or the Helena Valley Community Center after the Helena School District asked that Jim Darcy not be used "in the name of student safety." Fitzpatrick said precincts affected include precincts 4, 28, 12 and 21 and that staff mailed notices to affected voters and provided absentee-voter options.
