Public-works staff reported that the playground contractor should finish installing equipment the following week and that turf installation will follow and take about three weeks. Staff said most curb work is done but curbing around the splash-pad area must wait until the splash-pad contractor finishes; the splash pad itself may not be ready before winter, and the board discussed the possibility of opening the playground portion while delaying the splash pad.
