Fairview council approves higher bid for city‑hall roof
Council approved Resolution 29‑2026 to transfer $32,500 in the facilities fund to cover a higher roofing bid after the originally approved contractor failed to sign and new bids ranged higher.

Facilities Manager Betsy McGomery told council that an earlier approved bid of $98,500 did not proceed because the contractor declined to sign; after soliciting three additional bids the lowest responsive total for both the flat and sloped portions of the roof came in at $127,421 from Interstate Roofing. "the lowest bid was interstate roofing and the quote is attached... that total was the $127,421," she said.
