County approves $38,000 task order for Birdtail Road bridge study and grant support
The commission approved Task Order B107 with Great West Engineering for a preliminary engineering report and grant-application assistance for the Birdtail Road bridge over Flat Creek, not to exceed $38,000 and to be completed by May 31, 2027.

Dan Carlin, the county engineer, presented Task Order B107 for Great West Engineering to complete a preliminary engineering report (PER) for the Birdtail Road bridge over Flat Creek and to assist county staff with an MSAP infrastructure grant application. "A task order is for time and materials not to exceed $38,000 and work shall be completed by 05/31/2027," Carlin said, noting the project is included in the FY26 public works bridge infrastructure budget.
