The council approved a Planning Commission recommendation to rezone 1601 Pier Street from heavy industrial to highway commercial to allow MacArthur Autos LLC to build a taller automotive service establishment on the one-acre site.

The Planning Commission recommended rezoning 1601 Pier Street and the council approved that recommendation unanimously. Staff said the applicants, Amanda Mills and Damen MacArthur of MacArthur Autos LLC, requested rezoning from heavy industrial to highway commercial to build a new, slightly taller automotive service building on a one-acre parcel near the city shop.
