Commissioners directed County Manager Antonio Mendez to meet with municipal leaders to negotiate the proposed revenue split and final percentage for the sales-tax ballot language and to return the item for board action. Several commissioners stressed flexibility for the manager to adjust the proposed 80/10/10 split and the modeled 0.5% tax rate if necessary to meet the county revenue target.
