Trustee Jerry presented a research summary and urged the board to adopt a local ordinance to rein in dangerous e-bike use, especially among minors. He recommended mirroring state classification rules (prohibiting Class 3 outside New York City), requiring helmets, forbidding multi-riding, banning e-bikes from sidewalks and creating an impound-and-registration system so the village can track owners and levy storage fees.
