The Oneida Vilas Transit Commission voted Feb. 3 to raise Transit Manager Barb Newman's pay to $80,000 per year, retroactive to Jan. 5, 2026, after a closed-session discussion under Wis. Stat. §19.85(1)(c); the motions to enter and exit closed session and the salary increase carried unanimously with five members present.

Marvin Anderson, chairman of the Oneida Vilas Transit Commission, called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. Feb. 3 at the Vilas County Courthouse conference room and noted the meeting had been properly posted under the Wisconsin Open Meeting Law and met the Americans with Disabilities Act.
