Kickapoo board approves preliminary balanced budget amid drop in state aid; trustees authorize insurance, software and fall coaches

The Kickapoo Area School District board on July 9 approved a preliminary balanced budget that assumes a sizeable drop in state equalization aid and a roughly $300,000 increase in the local tax levy; trustees also approved liability insurance, a special-education software purchase, playground-door work and fall coaching hires.
